Our Thought's Vocabulary

Winston was having lunch with Syme and he was telling Winston about their goal of completely taking words off the vocabulary "oldspeak." Our society is no where near reaching this situation. On AIM we abbreviate words like "lol" (laughing out loud), "omg" (oh my god), "wth" (what the hell), etc, but this doesn't mean that our society is becoming like Syme's because they really do have a purpose for "extincting" words from plebescite vocabulary. They want to have as less words as possible so that people can't label their thoughts, our society, as far as I am and everyone else is aware of we have our complete right to think as we plase and/or believe.
